The Utah Film Awards competition seeks to discover outstanding work in film and episodic programs. Founded in 2011 as the Filmed in Utah Awards, the Utah Film Awards has evolved from being a program that celebrates local artists to include artists from around the globe. The program focuses on films that rarely have large budgets or celebrities. Instead, the UFAs focus on the craft of filmmaking. We value high-quality cinematography, audio production, performances and, most importantly, story.

Anne of Green Gables

Anne-of-GG- REALAnne of Green Gables $16, $14 student/senior

Green Gables is the home of lovable Matthew Cuthbert and his stern sister, Marilla. They agree to adopt a boy to help with the farm work. Imagine their consternation when Anne Shirley, a girl in her teens, is sent by the orphanage by mistake! Anne touches Matthew's heart with her vivid imagination and her charitable viewpoint, but it takes time to reach the tender heart beneath Marilla's hard exterior. Then there is young Josie Pye, a lad named Moody Spurgeon and Matthew, Anne's kindred spirit. This lovely classic is very simple to present and full of warmth and wit. Directed by Lynn Bronson.
