Provo Tabernacle Fire
On December 17, Provo Fire & Rescue was called to respond to a fire at the historic Provo Tabernacle at the corner of University Avenue and Center Street. The fire was well advanced when first responders arrived, and eventually caused extensive damage to the building and contents.
The tabernacle, owned and operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has been a Provo landmark since its completion in 1898.
