Come and elevate your typical summer day camp experience. Each week we go swimming at the Provo Recreation Center, take multiple field trips, and participate in a variety of hands-on activities associated with the week’s theme. Every participant will receive a camp T-shirt and have opportunities to earn other rewards based on positive behavior and engagement. Our friendly and passionate camp counselors are trained not only to give your kids an awesome and unforgettable experience through play, but to teach them how to develop a love of learning, build greater confidence in their abilities and ask questions. Below you will find additional details regarding the weeks’ themes and details regarding our field trips and walking tours.

June 5-9  |  Baker's Corner

Visit Taste, a local chocolate factory, and enjoy the fine details of chocolate, oil and vinegar. We’ll go behind the scenes for a tour of their factory as well as the Sweet Tooth Fairy in downtown Provo. Additionally, the Mighty Baker will be coming to the Provo Recreation Center to teach us some cake decorating basics. Each day baking and cooking professionals will teach our participants how to take their baking abilities to the next level.

June 12-16  |  Cooking Around the World

We’re going to the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork for llama races, yoga practice, a drum circle and whatever else the volunteers want to teach us about Hindu culture. This week we’ll also take a trip to Two Jacks where our participants will be able to throw their own dough and create personalized pizzas.

June 19-23  |  Art in Nature

See the beauty of our mountains and ride the ski lift to explore the beauty of Sundance. We’ll create nature-inspired art projects on the mountains and at Big Springs Park up Provo Canyon.

June 26-30  |  It's Your Story

Learn the art that can be created through your voice by coming with us to the June Audio Recording Studio as well as behind the scenes at the Covey Center for the Arts. We’ll also learn about storytelling and humor with a visit to Provo’s new Dry Comedy Bar.

July 10-14  |  Waves of Wonder

See the power of Water that the Fire Department uses everyday by participating in a hose down by the Provo Fire Department.  Ever wondered what you can do with frozen water? Ice skating of course! The Peaks Ice arena has been home to Olympic athletes and it can be your training ground too.

July 17-21  |  Energy in Me

This active week will exhaust your energy through Laser Tag at Laser Assult as well as teach you about where your energy comes from. We’ll also learn how energy is created and delivered at a tour of the new Provo Power Building.

July 24-28  |  We Will Rock You

We will explore the Quarry to heighten your rock climbing skills. Then come on an outdoor adventure geocaching at local spots around town and learn about the local geology in the mountains of our backyard.

July 31-August 4  |  Reaching New Heights  |  $95, *$10 price increase for extended travel & activity costs

We’re finishing off the season with our favorite field trip to the Park City Discovery Adventure Course. Push your limits on their high-ropes activity course. We’ll also spend some time hiking and exploring wildlife in Rock Canyon.

downs-syndrome-girl-and-teacher Adaptive Adventure Kids Camp

All weekly themes, costs and times match those that are listed above for Summer Adventure Kids Camp. These adaptive sessions of camp are specifically designed and staffed for children with special needs. The staff to child ratio is organized in advance and is based on the needs assessment you fill out prior to camp so your little one can safely participate in all the same activities as the general summer camp. We offer multiple activities and outings for inclusion with the general summer camp program, however this camp will target the development of specific social skills such as recognizing and managing emotions, establishing positive relationships and making responsible decisions. We’ll take your little one(s) to unique destinations to experience something for the very first time! Let’s make this summer one to remember!

Registration opens March 21.
