Intro to Youth BoulderingCome learn the skills and techniques of bouldering that will lead to greater mastery of rock climbing in a fun and safe environment. We will practice on the bouldering wall in the Recreation Center and then take it to Rock Canyon for a final session of outdoor rock climbing on 6/24.

BEGINNING CLASSES
A great class for beginning skateboard riders. Emphasis is on skate park safety, etiquette, and skateboard basics for beginners. Learn proper foot placement; regular, goofy, pushing, riding, tack turns, switch turns and safe ramp approaches, an introduction to an ollie, dropping in, a manual and a kick flip. Registrants are required to bring their own skateboard and helmet to class.

INTERMEDIATE CLASSES 
These classes build on the skills you’ve already mastered in previous skateboarding classes and include more one-on-one instruction. Registrants are required to bring their own skateboard and helmet to class. You must take the beginning level class or talk to the skateboarding coach prior to registering for this program.

CPR Scratch: Intro to Computer Coding Learn how to speak the language of computers! Campers will dive into the exciting world of computer coding through Scratch, developed at MIT. Scratch is a block-based application designed to make it simple for anyone to learn programming. Throughout the camp, coders can create Minecraft and superhero-themed games, and a "choose your own adventure" story! The possibilities to create are endless!

CPR Lego League
This program introduces participants to robotics using the LEGO System, which integrates the basics of building a LEGO Robot and programming using computer software. Together, students will work on different tasks and challenges for a qualifying tournament and a culminating championship at the end of the season.
*We are looking for one adult coach to assist a team. If you are interested in serving in this capacity, we will waive the registration fee of one participant into this program. Contact Alicia Christensen, Program Coordinator, if you are interested.

CPR CPR / AED / First Aid Certification Classes Did you know you can double or triple a cardiac arrest victim’s chance of survival by administering CPR, but only 32% of these victims get CPR? Provo Fire & Rescue offers several American Heart Association CPR courses to educate the general public and health care providers on critical skills needed to respond in an emergency. Currently offered are: Community CPR Certification, Heartsaver CPR/AED/First Aid, ACLS Provider Course and Healthcare Provider Courses.
