2012 Fireworks Restrictions

Due to dry, hazardous fire conditions, please note the following local fireworks restrictions:

 
 
It shall be unlawful to discharge fireworks or other pyrotechnic devices in the following areas:
 
  • Restricted areas as identified on this map.
  • All areas of Provo City within 20 feet of combustible weeds, grasses, trees, shrubs, fences or structures.
  • Provo City parks unless specifically designated for use of consumer fireworks.
 
Use of consumer fireworks shall comply with the following laws, ordinances or rules:
 
  • Only discharge fireworks on the approved list adopted by the Utah State Fire Marshal.
  • Approved fireworks may be discharged:
  • From July 1 through July 7, and July 21 through July 27
  • On January 1 and December 31
  • The day before and on the Chinese New Year
  • From 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. (except to midnight on July 4 and July 24)
 
These restrictions will be aggressively enforced. Violators are subject to maximum fines under the law.
