Pets in Disaster

WHY PET OWNERS MUST PLAN

Public shelters for people may not accept pets.  Waiting until the last minute may leave you no choice but to go to a public shelter.  If you are forced to leave your pets behind, you may suffer an irretrievable loss of your pets before you are able to return home.

Lost pets are more likely to die from exposure, starvation, and contaminated food and water than those whose owners have planned for their well-being.
