 Provo Citizens,

On behalf of the men and women of the Provo Police Department, welcome to our website! The Provo Police Department is located in Downtown Provo on the East side of the City Center.  We serve a population of approximately 120,000 citizens in 44 square miles.  Our Department is comprised of 95 sworn officers and approximately 120 personnel, within three divisions - Patrol, Special Operations, and Law Enforcement Support Services.

We invite you to view our website and familiarize yourself with the many services provided by the Provo Police Department, and to learn about our department and the many accomplishments and activities of our personnel.  We offer great opportunities to anyone seeking a career in law enforcement ranging from working with students as a school resource officer, criminal investigator, serving on various special teams, to a non-sworn support position.  In addition, we invite qualified citizens to join us in community based policing and prevention activities. We have a very active and growing Volunteer in Policing Program (VIP), Citizen’s Police Academy, Annual National Night Out, Neighborhood-Mobile Watch programs, and more.

In closing, I would like to thank you for visiting our website and your interest in the Provo Police Department.  I also want to thank the men and women of the Provo Police Department for their professionalism, crime reduction efforts, and focus on our community.  In partnership with our community and other criminal justice entities we can prevent and reduce crime, thus maintain the quality life in Provo -- Rick Gregory, Chief of Police.
