Our beloved mother Adelle (Smith) Miller Boswell Ostler passed peacefully away on Monday June 20, 2016 at the age of 95. Adelle was born October 27, 1920 in Belzoni, MS to Landon James Smith and Della Bell Anderson. She married Everett Hudson Miller September 1936. Later divorced. She married Andrew Boswell. He died in 1989. She married Newell B Ostler of Provo, UT January 7, 2008. Adelle traveled the country for many years until settling in Mapleton, UT. She worked as a nursing assistant in many nursing homes and Utah Valley Hospital.
Adelle was the mother of 10 children: James Miller, Sadie (Dean) Young, Mapleton, UT; Beverly (Phil) Mead, St. George, UT; Everett H (Joyce) Miller Jr., Orem, UT; Jody (Keith) Brown, Provo, UT; Joe (Kristina) Miller, Springville, UT; Marie (Warren) Stratton, Heber City, UT; Jenny Brown, Simpsonville, SC; JoAnn (Shawn) Barrett, Orem, UT and Michael (Velina) Miller, Bluffdale, UT. She has 32 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and many great-great, and great-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Miller; daughter, Sadie Young; sisters, Alene, Neline, and Loraine; brother, Landon James Smith; grandsons, David B Walker, Everett (Chopper) Miller III, Sean Peart and Rick Brereton; granddaughters, Erin Young and Ashley K Mitchell.
The family wishes to thank Laura Ladle and the nurses and staff at Provo Rehabilitation Center for the tender care offered to our mom.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Grandview 2nd Ward Chapel, 1081 West 1060 North, Provo, Utah. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street, Friday, June 24, from 6-8:00 p.m. and at the church Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
