Obituary for Cale Whipple
1931 - 2014
Salt Lake City, Utah – Cale Whipple returned to his Heavenly Father at the age of 82, on May 9, 2014 at 12:14 am, in Salt Lake City, Utah after going into a diabetic coma on May 6, 2014. He was born September 23, 1931 in Farmington, New Mexico to William Wilford Whipple and Beatrice Thayne Whipple. Both of his parents were born in the Mormon Colonies in Colonia Dublan, Chihuahua, Mexico. Cale was the 5th of 6 children. Cale passed peacefully with his immediate family by his side sharing his final hours together.
Cale is survived by his two children Laura Whipple (Stephen) Thalin and Larry Cale Whipple; two grandchildren Natalie Katherine Whipple and Adam Dean Whipple of Centerville, Utah; and two of his siblings, LaRee Whipple Graves of Fair Oaks, California and Verland Thayne Whipple of Salt Lake City, Utah, his former wife Marilyn Daniels, and sister in-laws, Shirley Bond Whipple, and Nola Jean Davis Whipple, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be missed for his kind heart and his great stories. At the time of his passing Cale was living with his brother Verland.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 16, 2014 at 12 p.m. at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, Utah. A viewing will be held Friday at 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Provo City Cemetery.
