Program fees are shown with $10 early bird discount if signed up before registration deadline.
In order to ease the process of registration, your child will be assessed and placed in the proper class on the first day of class. Thus, you only need to register your child for a time slot. You no longer need to select a level. Swim lesson spectators and participants are not permitted to use the facility unless they are pass holders or have paid daily admission fees. There are no make-up lessons for missed classes.

Adaptive group lessons are geared for children with physical or cognitive disabilities. Students will learn stroke techniques, water safety, self-confidence, and teamwork. Parents, please note that our goal is to ensure that each child has the most successful experience possible and in order to do so the first day of classes will be an assessment of abilities. There is a possibility that the time of your child’s class may change to the other adaptive time slot if the instructor feels it is a better fit for your child. Classes are 30 minutes

You are never too old to learn how to swim or master your stroke. Swim instructors will work with adults of all ages to achieve your personal swimming goals. The program is divided into 2 levels: Beginner, Intermediate/Advanced.

This course includes Lifeguarding and CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and First Aid. Topics include: water rescue skills, surveillance and recognition, first aid, breathing and cardiac emergencies, CPR, AED, and more. Participants will achieve a two-year certification upon successful completion of the course and be considered for a Lifeguard and/or Swim Lesson Instructor position with Provo City.
Prerequisites: All candidates must pass a pre-test. The pre-test is to ensure participants have a reasonable expectation to successfully complete the course. Failure of the pre-test disqualifies you from taking the course. The pre-test consists of the successful demonstration of the following skills:
- Swim 300 yds continuously demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing. Candidates may swim using the front crawl, breaststroke, or a combination of both. Swimming on the back or side is not allowed. Swim goggles may be used. There is no time requirement for this skill.
- Starting in the water, swim 20 yds. The face may be in or out of the water. Swim goggles are not allowed. Surface dive, feet-first or head-first to a depth of 7-10 ft, retrieve a 10-pound object, return to the surface, swim 20 yds back to the starting point while maintaining two hands on the object and exit the water without using a ladder or steps. This event must be completed within 1 min, 40 sec.
- Tread water for 2 min using only the legs. Hands should be placed under the armpits.

An adult style swim team for competitive and non-competitive swimmers, triathletes, and fitness swimmers of all levels instructed by a qualified coach. This program is designed to help swimmers improve fitness and/or train for specific goals and offer active support for a healthy lifestyle.

The Piranhas Swim Team is a summer recreational league that gives young swimmers an opportunity to improve their technique, get a taste of competitive swimming, and have a lot of fun! Meets are not required, but are a rewarding and fun way to let participants see their progress through the summer. Participants will be required to pass a skills test on the first day of practice of a 25 yd swim with ease, of freestyle or breast stroke. A full refund will be given if a child is unable to pass the skills test.

This is a recreation level swim group. Coaches will help swimmers improve strokes, techniques and endurance. Practices will include dry land skills and water workouts. Must be able to swim 25 yds with ease.

be able to swim 25 yards with ease.
Private swim lessons are concentrated, individualized, one-on-one swim instruction that gives the participant the opportunity to quickly learn basic swim skills and the advancing swimmer the opportunity to gain quick insight on skill technique development in a smaller group setting. No make-up classes for missed days. *You may add one additional participant to your lesson for no additional charge. You do not need to register the additional person, they will be added on the first class day.

Bring your dog and family to the Annual Puppy Paddle Pool Party held after the human pool season has ended. Your pooch will have lots of fun dipping in the pool, playing games, competing in contests such as the fastest swimmer, best trick, or cutest swim suit! No humans allowed in the pool. Pool will be cleared after each group. Register online at Signup.Provo.org for quicker access. Misbehaving pups will not be allowed.

This American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) course will prepare you to teach swimming and water safety courses to infants, children and adults. Prerequisites: Must be able to swim competently 25 yards of front crawl (freestyle), back crawl, breaststroke, elementary backstroke, sidestroke and 15 yards or the butterfly stroke. Must tread water for 1 minute and float on back for 1 minute.
