Roy Everett Rule Obituary
1923 - 2014
Roy Everett Rule, 91, passed away Monday, July 7, 2014.
He was born January 14, 1923 in Noble, Illinois to William Peter Rule and Amanda VanMatre.
He lived in Long Beach California for 50 years and has resided in North Ogden for the last eight years.
He retired from the US Navy after 22 Years of service. He served in World War II and the Korean Conflict.
The second half of his career was spent working for the California DMV
Roy married Vadna Dean in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were later sealed in the Los Angeles LDS Temple.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served in many capacities. He was dedicated to serving others and made an impact to those he served.
He loved his family and grandchildren. He enjoyed history and reading.
Roy is survived by his wife, Vadna; one son, Doug (Karen) Rule; one daughter, Becky (Gary) Bailey; five grandchildren, Shannon, Mandi, Ryan, Kelsey, and Jenna; seven great-grandchildren, and one sister, Margaret Curl.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9th at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd. The family will meet with friends Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Provo City Cemetery.
