Michael Ruiz, 65, passed away October 5, 2018 surrounded by his family in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born to Miguel Ruiz and Anna Cardenas in Los Angeles, California on February 18, 1953.
Michael enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Travis AFB. He was transferred to Hill AFB and made Utah his home. He worked at Meadow Gold Dairy and Geneva Steel then found his niche at Provo City where he worked for over 30 years.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Maria Ruiz; sons, Miguel (Kylie), Orlando (Carey), Samuel (Lynda) and Richard (Kelsey); grandchildren, Michael, Mason, Zoie, Roxie, Tenlie, Stefanie, Stone, Destiny, Brooklyn, Adilyn and Oaklee (due next month); sisters, Lillia (Ernie) Musquiz and Susie (Tony) Alvillar as well as many nieces and nephews, whom he loved.
Michael was welcomed into Heaven by his parents and brother, Art.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 12, 2018 at the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, 185 East Center Street, Provo, Utah. Friends may visit with the family from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Provo City Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at
