Dianne Allman Farley
1941 - 2018
Dianne Allman Farley, 77, passed away January 3, 2019 in Layton, Utah. She was born April 20, 1941 to Joseph Bates Allman and Fern Mecham in Provo, Utah. She attended Provo High School. May 23, 1958 she married Fred C. Farley, they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 5, 1969.
Dianne was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as 11 year old scout leader, secretary in the Relief Society, Primary Presidency, as well as many other callings. She worked as a school lunch lady with Davis County School District. She also worked for JCPenny catalog and sales center. She loved to read, decorate cakes, crochet baby blankets and hats, and loved camping and hunting with Fred.
She is survived by her husband, Fred; daughters, Brenda Lee (Gary) Miller; Jodi Lyn Brooks; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Siblings, Mary (Bill) Ewell, Joyce Smith, Glenn (Teena) Allman, Verna Lee (Mervin) Atwood, and Sandra Lamoreaux.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Cindy, and son Tracy.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Dixie Ward Chapel, 789 East Wasatch Drive, Layton, Utah. Family and friends may gather on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 250 North Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah and Wednesday prior to services at the church from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Provo City Cemetery, 610 South State Street, Provo, Utah.
