Amelia Ann Bentley was born December 25, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Wilbert Ray Bentley and Barbara Arita Black. She was the oldest sibling, and took her responsibilities very seriously. She worked with the telephone company all her life in a variety of positions, from operator to installer to headquarters assistant, and others. They loved to talk to someone who knew what they were doing, and how to do it right. Her instructions were always clear and doable.
Amelia survived 27 years of very severe arthritis by finding joy and purpose in sewing, knitting, beading and making jewelry. Everything she made was perfect and beautiful, and she loved giving away her treasures.
