Shirley Maxine Mellor Pinegar
1927 - 2019
St. George - Shirley Maxine Mellor Pinegar, 91, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2019. She was born in Manti, Utah on October 6, 1927 to Roy Delbert and Vivian Marguerette Anderson Mellor.
Shirley graduated from Manti High School in 1945 and received a degree from LDS Business College. She lived a life devoted to Jesus Christ. All who knew her called her an angel. She loved everyone and they loved her in return. She was the epitome of grace, faith and endurance. She treasured her membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Shirley married Glen Jolley Pinegar on October 17, 1952 in the Manti Temple. Their children are Mark (Margaret) Pinegar, Christine (Paul) Price, Jared (Stephanie) Pinegar, Mary Ann (Steve) Buchan, Holly (Keith) Lockhart and Rachel (Oliver) DeMille, with 40 beloved grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
Her family on both sides of the veil was her purpose and joy!
Shirley is now reunited with her parents, her siblings, Ramona, Keith, Carol, Lynn, & Elaine, her husband, Glen, daughter Mary Ann, daughter-in-law, Carol, & grandchildren Jacqueline & Jesse Glen Pinegar.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 11, 2019 at the High Bench chapel, 910 South High Bench Rd., Alpine, Utah. Family and friends may call on Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Warenski Funeral Home, 1776 North 900 East, American Fork, Utah, and again on Monday from 9:30 to10:30 am at the church prior to services. Interment will be at the Provo City Cemetery.
