Our Neighborhood Chairs Committee discussed ideas for our neighborhood matching grant this year. We'll have a meeting to review the plan and vote for approval on May 16th at 6:30 p.m. at The White Willow Reception Center 342 N 500 W.
The project will include some or all of these possibilities depending upon neighborhood, and city approval.
*Bike Sharrows painted along 300 W from the Provo Recreation to 100 N or Center Street.
*Sidewalk repair on 300 W near the corner of 500 N West side of the street. The large tree will need to be removed to keep the
sidewalk from continuing to lift the concrete. (Yes Derek you read that right!) Let me know of other areas in our neighborhood
where sidewalk needs to be repaired.
*Quotes/Poetry painted onto the concrete (not etched in the concrete as seen in the link just shown). Anyone have access to a large vinyl cutter to cut out the stencils for the quotes? You may submit quotes to me. They will be reviewed by a neighborhood committee chosen at our next meeting and then submitted for approval by the city's matching grant committee.
*Removal of a neighbors crumbling front steps in preparation for new steps.
*Tree planting.
