7:00 pm | Ballroom

Fans of middle-grade graphic novel memoirs won't want to miss this presentation and meet-and-greet with Raina Telgemeier, Shannon Hale, and LeUyen Pham.

Get tickets online beginning September 19 at 9:00 am.

Due to estimated crowd sizes, authors will not be signing books at this event. Those interested in purchasing pre-signed books may do so through the King’s English Bookshop (books will not be personalized).

In Best Friends, the highly anticipated follow-up to the runaway hit graphic memoir Real Friends, Shannon knows sixth grade is going to be a perfect year. She's got a spot in the in-crowd called The Group, and her best friend is their leader Jen, the most popular girl in school. But the rules are always changing, and Shannon has to scramble to keep up. She never knows which TV shows are cool, what songs to listen to, and, most importantly, which boys you're allowed to talk to. Who makes these rules anyway? And does Shannon have to follow them to stay friends with The Group?

In Guts, Raina wakes up one night with a terrible upset stomach. Her mom has one, too, so it's probably just a bug. Raina eventually returns to school, where she's dealing with the usual highs and lows: friends, not-friends, and classmates who think the school year is just one long gross-out session. It soon becomes clear that Raina's tummy trouble isn't going away... and it coincides with her worries about food, school, and changing friendships. What's going on? Raina Telgemeier once again brings us a thoughtful, charming, and funny true story about growing up and gathering the courage to face -- and conquer -- her fears.

There are four ticket options available for this event, including a free ticket option and pre-signed book options.
