Dixon Neighborhood Meeting

  • Date: 11/12/2019 6:30 PM
  • Location: Dixon Middle School

Hello Dixon Neighbors!

I apologize about the later notice, but we are going forward with having our November Dixon neighborhood meeting tomorrow, Nov 12, at 6:30 p.m. at Dixon Middle School.

We are going to discuss a few important items:

  • New Neighborhood Chair/Vice-Chair Election is coming in two weeks (Nov 26th)! We are going to have another neighborhood meeting in two weeks so that everyone has enough time to discuss and think about who would be a great next neighborhood chair!
    • My how four years have flown by, and it has been an honor to be able to serve the last four years as the Dixon Neighborhood Chair.  Unfortunately, due to a change in my work situation I think it will be best to pass the baton on to the next individual who will get to learn and serve and enjoy as much as I have.

    • Do you know someone who would be a great neighborhood chair? Or vice-chair?  Please invite them to come to the meeting so they can get involved and help the wonderful voice of Dixon be heard across the city.  Especially with the School Bond and the future of Dixon up in the air, it would be great to have an engaged individual help to represent the will of the Dixon neighborhood.
  • We will also have a quick update on the McClean Chiropractic property proposal (the second tower going in behind the first on the corner of 400 N and 500 W.)
  • Another developer, Will Taylor, has asked if he could have a few minutes to get the neighborhoods ideas about a development he’s proposing.  Details are scarce but they are basically rezone a property from RC to LDR and put in some townhomes.  He would like to gage the neighborhood interest in such a project.

Thank you all so much again for all of your support and friendship over these last four years, I have truly enjoyed it so much and hope we will continue to cross paths in the future.  As always there will be some goodies to enjoy and great friends to mingle with, so I hope to see you there!
