Hello Neighbors,
A Neighborhood Meeting is scheduled for JANUARY 9th at 7:00p.m. at 209 North 400 West. James Anderson would like to add a third unit to his property by remodeling the garage on the North side of the property at 388 W and 300 N. He will present plans for the addition for neighbors to review.
Several developers and property owners have asked about increasing density on certain lots in Timp Neighborhood especially in the last 5 years. A developer or property owner can request a Pro Zone which results in the Planning Commission and City Council judging each proposal for multiple residential development on a case-by-case basis.
Timp Neighborhood was zoned a Residential Conservation Zone (RC Zone) about 20 years ago in an effort to preserve residential homes In Downtown Provo.
The RC Zone prohibits any additional dwellings above and beyond the number of dwellings that exist on the lot.
When requesting a Pro Zone the project is reviewed by the neighborhood and feedback from neighbors is considered by the planning commission and city council in determining whether to grant the Pro Zone.
