Esteban Alfonso Sotuyo

Esteban Alfonso Sotuyo, 85, of Mansfield, Illinois passed away at 6:35 pm, Thursday, February 13, 2020.

Esteban was born September 2, 1934 in Brownsville, Texas, a son of Cecilio and Juana Labrada Sotuyo. He married Pauline Kay Reno.

Esteban is survived by his children, Benjamin (Sharise Beavers) Sotuyo; Michael Sotuyo; Stephanie (Ted) Casto; Alicia (Steve) Broussard; Jared Sotuyo; Matthew Sotuyo; Adrienne (Ryan) Jaynes; Kari (David) Atkins; Julienne (Mark) Duncan; 20 grandchildren; sister, Maria Sotuyo Zuniga. Preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 5 sisters.

Esteban was a retired High School and College teacher. He also was a retired postal clerk. He was a United States Marie Corps veteran of the Korean War. He also was a United States Air Force veteran. Esteban was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Champaign, Illinois.

His funeral service will be held Friday, February 21st, 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2801 W. 620 N. Provo, Utah. Interment will follow at the Provo City Cemetery.
